Designs Signage Solutions are delighted to be appointed as the signage contractor to manage production and installation of all signage for the KCOM Stadium rebrand in Hull as it becomes the MKM Stadium.
In the sporting world this was a pretty well kept secret. We've been keeping it quiet for weeks now, working in the background with the Stadium Management Company and the team at MKM Building Supplies responsible for pulling it all together, to ensure the rebrand could happen in a small window when Hull FC don't have a game.
Utilising our experience of stadium rebrands, and the in depth knowledge we had of the KCOM / MKM stadium we put a timeline in place to enable the design team at MKM to know when artwork would be required and when production would need to commence in order to have the printed materials ready to start installation on the 28th June.
We will be replacing everything including the hoarding that runs around the tiers of the stadium bowl, external signage, banners, wayfinding signs, reception signage and hospitality area signage.
Our dedicated team have worked hard to keep the printers and print finishing machines running 7 days a week to ensure we hit the available installation window. The MKM Stadium is home to Hull City AFC and Hull FC, and work must be completed before the next home game for Hull FC on Monday 5th July.
Most of day one was spent removing the old KCOM branding. The large banners that covered the West Stand Stairwell were removed as was all the internal stadium stand hoarding branding.
We started the installation of the signage within the stadium bowl today too. We're keeping those pictures under wraps though until it is completely finished. We're pretty certain the stadium management team and MKM will want to see those first!
